My dad tapes weddings and does some light editing with Sony Vegas. He needs a new computer and wants me to build it for him. This PC won't be used for any gaming. He told me he wanted it to be no more than $1500 but I think that's overkill anyway so i hope to come in well below that number. I really don't know where to begin so I'm gonna need a lot of help and you guys were very helpful with my first build. So far I bought a case and HDD on sale.
Case:

HDD:

Backup: I'd like to get a a second HDD to set up as an auto backup so he doesn't lose any videos if one crashes. Let me know if you any suggestions on the best way to do this.
SSD: Would this be beneficial enough for this set up to spend the money on one?
CPU: I'm leaning towards the I7-3770K

OS: Windows 7 - Home or Pro?
PSU: I'm guessing I'll only need about a 500w
DVD / Blu-ray burner: Right now he burns everything on DVDs and uses lightscribe. I would like to get a blu-ray burner with lightscribe if possible but it doesn't look like there are many options for this. This is the one I was looking at right now:
