Yes I had, just hoping he is still keeping some tabs on the top teams, and wanted to show we noticed.

(Oh and I don't condone the others actions and anyone that does as they did should be removed from any farther participation in DC projects!)

hbgrg, please just drop the collective thing, okay, People hate having you spam all these posts with your collective information. Most people like having their own name in the stats. i know that by myself, I have gotten into the Top 500 without any outside help. And that was with just 2 computers folding constantly. Yes, you can get a lot of points folding for a collective. However, most people don't like them.

By the way, I have noticed that most people actually LIKE the monkeys. I know that I find all of their posts entertaining. That is the number 1 reason you have not gotten very many results for you collective.

In other news, congratulations Dented, this is a monumental achievement. You never know. If this keeps up, you may end up as the next 1920x1080p How???. And that is a name that is very respected in these parts, even if he is folding for another team.

Hmmmm... Didn't I just say I was giving up on my collective. Well whatever, just thought that it would be cool to have a new collective at MPC (yes, even if it isnt started by me)...

The monkeys are definitely a fun group hehe - I've had quite a bit of fun with Spider over the years :) They are (at least most of them) as good at taking a joke as they are at telling/starting them :) I'm sure that Dented harbors no ill will hehe

I for one didn't look at your collective as a bad idea due to it being in your name hbgrg, most of us, as death mentioned either like folding on our own names, and then there are those of us (besides the monkeys :P) that have or have had foldied under TeamMPC-Collective. The only reason I was interested in that one, to begin with, was due to the fact that (in my mind) it demonstrated a concerted effort of several good producers to have a chance to work together to see what kind of PPD we could achieve together hehe

At any rate, I'll still fold with TeamMPC-Collective utnil we get into the Top 10 (we are currently 12th) - but after that - I'll be going back to tuathalcj :)
After all - I've dropped from the 40s down to the 90s - EEEK! :P

Cheers,
Tuathal

It's difficult to remember your folding name, because it can't be associated with anything in our language, easily.

It's an acronym without an anchor (linguistic tie-in).

Consider these acronym's for comparison:

DOD = Dept. of Defense.
RAAM = Race Across AMerica
TdF = Tour de France
FaH = Folding at Home

hbgrg = ???

No vowels, plus no linguistic tie in's, = no easy way to remember it.

We remember things by association. Just the way our brains evolved. Your "handle" just doesn't give our brains, an easy "handle" to associate with it.

Hey, its "Mad_Comp" not "Mad Comp". Got it? :X

And don't call me that clown. I'm a CEO of my OWN company, not McDonalds (wouldn't want to run it anyways!).

Mad_Comp, who's feeling ticked off!

Despite your feelings, your rigs are folding magnificently, Mad_Comp!

I just looked behind me on the page, and POW!, you were suddenly right behind me.

And you'll be flying by me in record time, I'm sure.

Congratulations, and way to fold! :cool:

Thnks Adak. I'm trying to catch hackman2007 before he takes off again...

So far, I'm 242 spots away from him. I think at my current catch-up rate of 30 spots a day to his 3/day, I get him in about 25 days at current PPD levels.
