Now that all my pc's are folding, I can't stop. Just installed folding on my MacBook Air. That should send out at least a 100ppd. just...can't....stop.

I would like to know what the captains are cooking up.

Nothing final yet. Think more of a tweak than a rules change. I prefer to not reveal anything prematurely.

Rest assured that it is being looked at by all captains. 8 of 9 have agreed, 1 no contact with yet.

how close is this thing to being done as in the first team to complete the goal not all teams completing it because in my book you quit racing when the winner has finished. You don't see no nascar teams out on that track 2 days after Daytona trying to finish that last lap. It's over when it's over.

The challenge is for 10 days remember?

It started on May 5, so I'm guessing it will end May 15.

yeah that was before they started making mid race changes to the rules
which still aint been announced here, other teams are talking about teaming up now

The changes made do not affect any team directly, except HWC. More explanation in the thread link above.

please understand I asked because of the chat in the live feed
teams talking about having to join ranks to combat this obvious attempt to bring in "ringers"
for folding. There seems to be a real lack of chatter here about the CC going on while we speak, and yet
rules are being changed and issues addressed while we seem to be asleep here on our forums and if I am not mistaken
we started this race!

I appreciate your work as a team captain, its a thankless effort no doubt, and I am attempting to drum up some kind of chatter on this site. Come on guys, for a "smack talk" thread its like library chat in here!

Not as thankless as it is for the HWC Captain. I think his team feels let down.

In their forum, they are talking about scouring the other forums for evidence of other outside folders joining other teams.

I understand they feel hurt. I hope they vent a little, then go back to racing. They are still in first, just not by the margin they were before.

We (the captains) set a precedence with this decision. It was not made lightly, but in the best interest of the overall race.

With just over 3 days of folding, all of the teams have combined for a whopping 144 million points. Last year, with 9 teams shooting to 20 million and stopping, we did somewhere over 180 million and the last team was still folding nearly 4 weeks after the start. We will be close to a half billion points when we cross the finish after 10 days, I believe. So, in the end, who is the real winner? Stanford, that's who!

p.s. We are still in 8th, but the past few updates have been strong ones for us! Keep it up!
