Wow... quite a few people came out of the wood work for their FAH badge.

Maybe some of us should hop into chat and talk about a MPC FAH companion site.

I had mentioned previously that the EOC site is cool, but there are too many people and too many charts. Also, it would be cool to be sms'ed a msg when your rank/score changes, which a surprising number of people liked. I'm sure there are quite a few other good ideas around.

It might take a while but it would be a fun project to dl all the Team MPC stats every 3 hours.

Start a thread for it. I'm sure we could come up with some way to do it efficiently

How about we just make a new thread from those posts?

Am I lost or isn't this the thread for discussing it?

Ok - so getting back to the idea of a FAH companion site.

Here is one idea I posted...

That seemed to get a good response.

The other ideas were for a companion web site:

• It would contain info for 'registered' users from here. There are way too many people on the team to talk smack! It should have a directory with links to a users profiles at the stanford and eoc sites.
  
• Ininitally, I would like to see a modified version of the Future Production Estimates chart with only those of us who are here. Later on, we could make it fancier and add a feature to add/remove users from the chart. An even fancier version could allow someone to select registered people running 1 to 3 processors or 5 to 10 or something.
  
• An overtake news summary like....
  SpiderMonkey overtakes Belbozz99 in 1 days
  Gadget overtakes Chumly in 4 days
  SpiderMonkey overtakes niterider in 8 days
  niteider overtakes DaBrain in 20 days
  Gadget overtakes DaBrain in 1000 days
  
• Overall, just something that makes it easier to tell at a glance what everyone is up to.... a weekly or monthly points winner wouuld be cool too. Brain has way too many points!
  
• Just thought of another one. An sms and/or email to let you know if one of your computers has stopped folding...

I visit so many message boards I can't keep the threads separate. They all run together....

I may get my friend's PC working on it too. Hopefully, he will let me do it under my name.

Too bad he's on Dialup though. He may not like it if the thing starts dialing on it's own every so often.

Oh, and as for the companion site, great idea!

I would like it if we could get rid of all these old users that haven't produced anything in 50 days. I mean, we have like what? over 2000 users, with only about 570 active? Our active memebers only make up 15% of out total members!

I say, if a user hasn't been active in more than 75 days, he should get removed from our team list.

It's damn annoying to be working for weeks just to rise above all the inactive users!

Actually, you're averaging about 20 points less per day. Have you added another machine recently? Maybe it hasn't finished a WU yet.

All you need is one more comp and you'll make up the 665 point difference pretty quickly.
