Haha, I thought you were going to catch me over the two days my internet crapped out, but I kept my small lead!

Don't know what you were using to hit 19K in a day, but if you go back to that rate, I'm gonna be forced to replace that 7600GT with a 9600GSO in the old woman's rig.

I've been looking over some of these stats pages and I'm not understanding how some people are completing double digit work units in a 3 hour span. SLI? Quad cores?

I've got a pretty decent rig and is takes me about 2-2.5 hours to finish 1.

You can complete multiple WUs in short time spans by having multiple machines folding under the same name. If you have 10 computers folding, its granted that you are going to have multiple WUs completed in short spans. It also helps if you have very fast hardware. GPU2 clients tend to complete WUs rather quickly.

EDIT: but this is rather off subject for the topic. I just replied here because he posted here. Mods feel free to move or delete these posts.

GPU2 client on a fast video card, or as Hostil3 said, multiple computers.

If you have at least a relatively quick dual core machine, and one of the new video cards that do 4,000 or more points per day, you can do WUs very quickly right now.

Check out other posts on the forum and some comparison charts.

I went from old P4 hardware years ago folding 100-200PPD to recently joined this MPC team with my E6850. I could not believe how many points you get from a dual core and a video card(3k at the time). Then upgraded my video card, now I get 12k PPD from one machine. I have 2 GPU clients running, each finishes a WU in about 1.5 hours.

Been a member since June '07, but only got serious about it when I saw the GPU2 client, and have been folding ever since.

I just decided to switch to Maximum PC about a week ago. I am going to devote all my Folding resources to the MPC team for the foreseeable future. I agree to all the guidelines and agree not to violate them.
