Thanks S.M.!

Does the hardware swap and sell subforum still exist? If so, I would be interested in getting access to it. I'm wondering if someone might be interested in doing a GPU swap, or if anyone could get some folding use out of some of the other hardware I have around that's not in use.

Take a look and let me know what you see. It is right below this section of the forum on the main page.

Still no dice :( I also tried logging out and back in, and then tried deleting all board cookies and logged in again, just in case.

Hi Guys, this is Alex.W, folding under the same name. I used to be Shreddinmachine on these here forums, but my account is not working so I decided to make this one. I would like to request my top 1000 badge. Thanks in advance.

sometimes deleting cookies will straighten out the account log in and such. if that doesn't work maybe spider monkey can see if something is wrong with it.

I have already left Nathan a message, he said he would take a look into this issue tomorrow. There is another member having roughly the same issue. Hopefully it can re resolved. If I know me I will let you know.

Bro, leave Nathan alone. I already promised him that the current staff would not bug him unless it was absolutely necessary. We're not going to tax the mag staff like previous generations did. All that does is make the powers that be want to shut the place down because it becomes a nusance. I can do anything that needs to get done except for making new badges, but even if we had them made, they aren't going to get uploaded anymore anyhow.

Sure :)
I'm also glad I'm making more progress. I applied for the HP Cloud thing, but since I just applied a couple days ago I realize it is unlikely. I'm still thinking about upgrading my GPU from a 460 GTX OC to a 560-80 TI and then moving my gpu to my wife's PC. That would help a little, both for me and for my wifes WU's. She is running a crappy GPU worth maybe $35 on newegg, obviously it doesn't fold well. Moving my GPU to her PC would be a huge improvement.

The thing I haven't been able to figure out is how to put F@H on my wife's PC completely invisible and have it stop completely when she is using the PC. It seems that even though it is supposed to throttle down, it still doesn't stop completely. When she plays WoW she notices a tiny bit of delay sometimes if it is turned on. She won't tolerate that during raiding especially.
When she is healing she accidentally kills enough people without any help! :)
I am thinking about running it as a service and figuring out how to make sure the process is stopped when WoW is started. Maybe a .bat file with 2 lines, 1: stop F@H svc and 2: start wow. hmm, not sure.
Her PC is a i5 w/ 4GB and while it doesn't churn out a tons of WU's every bit helps.

sorry to be long winded, I'm sort of thinking about this out loud.

Larry

Bro, if you want a new badge, you have to link me to your EOC stats so I can verify the request.

Although I don't think this would qualify for the invisible part, I believe FAH GPU Tracker would help satisfy the second part. It has a gaming pause feature that is supposed to stop the clients when you fire up a game. I switched over to using the v7 beta client, but I used GPU tracker for a while on my server PC and it worked pretty well. Haven't tried the gaming pause personally though, since I wasn't gaming on my server. I find the configuration on V7 to be a little more straightforward (I had to hunt a little bit the first time to figure out how to make the clients auto-start with GPU Tracker). Maybe tracker would be worth a look for what you need it to do

Now I just hope my next two photo gigs can afford me some spending money on a 2P setup.
