Spider Monkey, is that the 1800 point mark, or the 1800 rank mark? Cause, unless you have a lot of PCs, breaking 1800 points would be very tough.

Its the rank mark (only one PC folding ATM - setting up #2 soon). I only have 333 points with 3 WU's completed. But I've only really been at this for 48 hours. IMO being 1828 out of 3602 people is pretty damn good so far. LOL What I don't get is that I have only completed 3 WU's and I'm beating out people with 10. Why is that?

They use a P4 system as a reference to determine the amount of work required for a WU. The FAQ talks about how they determine the points for a WU. Bascially, they've increased the time complexity of a WU as machines have become more powerful. For example, I had a P2 450mhz running a 400 stage WU and it barely finished 100 stages in 1 week running 24/7!

Yeah, in one WU I got almost halfway up the ranks. I'm not sure if you loose points for not being active, but that's a possibility. If you click on almost any of those names you'll see that they haven't sent in a WU in the past 50 days.

From what I understand, the ranks of 500+ are all some sort of old user graveyard where people started folding for us and left. Almost all the users above rank 500 are non-active. If you look at our team you will see that we only have about 557 active members, or about 15% active. Lol, team Rage3D only has 13% active, at about 350 active members. But if you don' t count team Rage3D, we're pretty low in active members. :(

You can see what I'm refferring to here: http://www.statsman.info/folding2stats/html/

I'm currently at 11 WUs, and just about to break the 1000 rank mark.

What do you mean post a link to my user name for the victims list? Remember I'm a total WU-no0b. :)

Why aren't they even password protected?

Is there a way to set it so you only get the most complicated WU's? Right now I pound out about 1.5 a day between the 400 and 500 stage WU's.

I just started recently too. July 2nd was my first day. Keep at it. If you get a second comp, you should be able to catch Dan in another week or so. Oh look, there's Chumly, just a few page up buttons in front of me now. :)

You can set it to get a WU from a specific project, but afaik, they all have about the same time complexity. It mentioned this somewhere in the FAQ.

LOL! Yea, I'm way down there, WAY above Goat. LOL I'm gonna hook up my home laptop once I can figure out why it keeps shutting down because one of the drivers suddenly dissapears.

If you start a WU, and close your connection, will it start right back where ti left off when you connect the next time? If so, what happened to all of those WU's that people left stranded. Maybe one of those is the cure to baldness. lol

What FAQ? I don't see one in this folder. Point me to it so I can look at that before asking questions. :)
