Has anyone heard if they plan on updating the PPD color coding on EOC? It used to be a good split to see who is folding and who is folding really fast. The requirement for red has been 6000 forever, and used to take multiple computers 24/7. I remember being proud going from the tan 1.5k group up to the brownish 3k group.

Now a days though, 6k is pretty easy for most people. I no longer can just see that red and go, WOW, that guy is fast. Not to mention it is not really necessary to split the lower 100/200/400/800ppd groups.

I want to go back to the day where Red was a great honor, brown/maroon was also something to be really proud of, and tan was nothing to scoff at as well, where as green is solid, and blue the group still show you may be constantly contributing on some older systems.

Multiply them all by 10. I think that would be fair, and much more relevant. 60k/30k/15k/8k/4k/2k/1k/1+

That's a good idea, although I'd be a little sorry to lose my cheaply acquired 'red' status.. You should say something over there at EOC.

if you read the "update" at the top of your individual stats page, you will find that he already has it on his todo list. :)

I read through his posts, and did find the updates to color code, but its there many times... dating back to 2011! :o

Sounds like he wants time to really evaluate what people are doing and then base the code off of that, but if he does that for today's average producers, we will be in the same situation in a few years. I'm not sure how high he is thinking to make them, but the 10x method works great for people who have been around forever because we already know most of them by heart, so the transition will be easy.

careful now, you are showing your age! hehe, just messing.

I am very thankful for EOC. It keeps this competitive. Without it, it would be hard to feel like you are doing anything.

I can remember back in the day getting to the next color level was an accomplishment too.

I just started back folding again and now i'm at the 1.5k mark. Who knows, one of these days I might hit red but, that would be a stretch for me.
