Anyone like to read fiction books?

I just finished ILIUM by Dan Simmons.

Great book.

What fiction are you reading, or non-fiction?

Man, I wish you hadn't asked that. I've been feeling pretty guilty about not really reading anymore, I used to read a lot. I mean a lot. Fantasy, sci-fi, history, religion, philosophy, science. James Clavell, Kurt Vonnegut, Tom Wolfe. Lately, I've just been hoping to hear something from George R. R. Martin.

(Huh, spell check was good with all the names except 'Clavell'. Screw you spell check.)

haha, not much of a reader... I was into Harry Potter when I was younger and they were comming out. I always enjoyed a good book, problem is most books I read I can't get into. If for some reason I do though, I love it.

I recently finished up the "Millionaire Next Door" (I extremely highly recommend it) and am currently reading "The Demon Haunted World - Science as a Candle in the Dark" by Carl Sagan. I tend not to read fiction. The real world is too vast and interesting and I'm too busy to spend the sparse free time that I have on fiction (it's my pretty good excuse).

I also read lots of Web Development books, mainly from Sitepoint (I signed up for a year of Learnable and get to download any and all of their books as part of the membership for $100). I have something like twenty or thirty downloaded. I've gone through three or four of them.

Tend to read more non-fiction than fiction, too. But, just finished up reading Brave New World by Aldous Huxley with one of my classes. Fascinating and terrifying by itself, and then to think it was written in 1932 always blows my mind!

Brave New World, 1984, Animal Farm, and a Kurt Vonnegut story "Harrison Bergeron", everyone should read these (along with a bunch of other stuff I consider must reads for personal development). Oh, Ernest Hemingway should also have been in my original post.

I picked up a book (for free) called something like "How Brave a New World" hoping that it was the aforementioned book. My mistake

I would recommend those books as well. I haven't read most of them, but I have heard lots of good things from those that have. Maybe I'll get to them before I die
