Guess who's back!

It has been way too long. No clients, no idea where to start again, no idea if any of the vets I remember are still around.

Anyhaps... Whats going on guys?

The vets are around but too busy to talk. No one sticks around for more than a post. Still seem to have many folders but don't see them around. If you actually "look up", you can see MPC forums falling off the cliff of relevance like Wile E. Coyote.

So welcome back, graydiggy. Sorry for the size of the welcoming party.

Wow... Great to see you back here on the forum!

Yup - some of us old timers are still around.

And I suspect we have a bunch of folks who come and look at the forum... but never post. How else do you explain the fact that some weeks the 4M thread has over 300 views.. yet there are not more than two or three actual posts?

If you head over to the Stanford website you can read all about the new, version 7 client. It is an integrated client that will handle both CPU and GPU Folding. No more running two different clients.

If you're thinking about getting back into Folding, let us know what hardware you have - and folks will suggest what is still valuable for Folding, and what should be sold for scrap. (AGP video cards come to mind) :)

Don't like to call myself a vet, there were so many more before me. I was around before you abandoned us, though

Gah! Forgot I made this. I've been slammed with working and my family. Too much crap. I didn't abandon any of you! :p

I did get really big into Android Development though on XDA.

It's a blast. I managed to get to Recognized Contributer on XDA. I have blazed through a ton of phones and tablets and supported many devices. Currently doing support for the AT&T Note 3. Hop on XDA! Not hard to find me. ;p

Wow, I was reading this as if it was new... until I got to the "Merry Christmas"

That explains why people talk about the forums being inactive... they really perked up again around February! I got back into folding, and with the help of a few others, we really got the forums moving again. They still aren't what they were, but they are fun again.

I hope you will jump back in and fold and chat with us! It's good to see some of the old crew coming back around!

Would love to hear some stories from dem old'en days!

R3D's right. There has been pretty good activity round these parts the last 6+ months or so! Great group of folders that post regularly and are tolerant of my noob questions and hypotheticals.

Welcome back, graydiggy!
