For my folding efforts I have employed a Core i7 3770k, 3 gtx 580s, and a q6600 still plugging away @ 3.8ghz actively. While trying to get a handle on my hardware collection I came across a pair of 8600 gt video cards and near as I can tell, they are still supported by f@h, my question is will they still perform any useful work. My googling didn't yield much in way of a recent answer... it seems these were left behind long ago but if I have them and have the slots to run them, why not? I am taking down one of my rigs tomorrow and will install a card just to see if it's functional (truth be told I have no idea how these ended up in my collection since I had been ATI exclusively since the issuance of the original radeon 64mb DDR VIVO) but any insight as to what these cards will turn out (if anything)is appreciated.

With today's work units, I suspect you will yield about 4,500 points per day from an 8600GT.

I know someone that is running an 8800GT - which is putting out 5,600 PPD.
