Polka no question. I'm not exactly in to polka music, but some of it is kind of rollicking and fun. Have you heard Yoko screech? I have. There's a video on youtube where for a second it looks like Chuck Berry tries to decapitate her with his guitar's power cord (pun unintentional).

Some of my favorite subjects, but since the most 'classical' meaning of metaphysics is basically meaning supernatural, I'd have to go with ethics since they actually pertain to the real world.

I would elect to go Quantum. I believe it will lead to better understanding of Astrophysics.

If I had a non-stick experience that looked like it does on TV I'd go that way, but since I always end up having to use some lipids anyway and the coating always seems to start peeling I'm going to have to go with cast iron. Nothing like a huge skillet full of eggs and taters and meat and cheese and peppers. Yeah it's a PITA to clean, but whatever.

Well, lessee, Summer Olympics has 14 year old gymnasts, thanks for making me feel like a creepy old guy. Winter Olympics has biathlon: downhill skiing and shooting a gun, and Jamaican bobsledders, so I'm gonna have to go Winter.

I like breakfast sandwiches. Thx for making me hungry

I'll go with Sausage (patty). Bacon is a delicacy to be enjoyed on it's own. I do love some Canadian bacon/ham on sandwiches though.

Soup! I have been making all kinds of soups. Some stews, but soup would have to win due to variety.

Pluto is still a 'planet'. It's a dwarf planet. What happened back in the day is that a new object was found orbiting the sun that had a more elliptical orbit or wasn't on the same plane as the rest of the planets (I forget which) and it was also larger than Pluto (I think that it was Eris). There are now five dwarf planets, in order by distance from the sun, Ceres, Pluto, Eris, Makemake and Haumea. There are also many candidates currently up for dwarf planet status.

From NASA's site: Pluto was considered a planet until 2006. The discovery of a similar-sized worlds deeper in the distant Kuiper Belt sparked a debate that resulted in a new official definition of a planet that did not include Pluto.

Wow Gero, apparently we're all stumped (or politely waiting for someone else to have a turn). Now, my personal interest lies closer to cosmology/astronomy and I think that it/they are also more awesome in the the sense of something which inspires awe. In the end however, I think I'll have to come down on the side of modern medicine because of being on the cusp of stem cell and genetic therapies. I think we're really close to a whole new understanding of many diseases and that human life will have another medically inspired revolution, so I pick medicine because of the ability to increase life span and quality of life, but it was a close one.
Unfortunately I've (temporarily) exhausted my faculties, so I leave you with this.

Hopefully you're not talking about skin tone ;) Could be misconstrued.

In short, I'll go with sweet and creamy out of the given choices. It's how I used to take my coffee and occasionally do. It's how I drink my tea often also.

I'd take my women pretty much any way I could get them (I do have a wife, so i'm locked in  ), but I generally take my coffee the opposite of my women. I like dark roasted and especially if I can find stuff that's not bitter.

Hard to say depends on who called it. But most of the time I find them a waste of time more often then not

Keeping with the work topic:

At work are you the?

The one that puts things into action even if you need to do someones job to get that action done?

-or-

The one that waits? I'll do my part when they have done theirs?

Well, I was kind of wanting to say that I'm the one who gets the job done, but it's a little hard to justify that in light of This or That languishing on the vine here. I do get the job done, but if I have to do someone else's job in the process I start asking uncomfortable questions about why somebody is getting paid.

I'd say both, but NASA first, then SpaceX. I'm big fans of both. NASA does lots of necessary research and whatnot that isn't immediately money making, much that couldn't or wouldn't typically be done by the private sector. SpaceX is most definitely the future of 'routine' and commercial usage of space. Joint efforts are and will be very common in the future as well. NASA has done lots of pioneering and will hopefully continue to do so (not to say that SpaceX isn't doing any of it's own).

If you work somewhere that has an organization wide CMS/intranet:

NAS.

For me, this is easiest. Share a drive for all PCs, thats all I need. Servers open up more possibilities, but I have no knowledge of them... lol

I have not read them all, so forgive me if its a duplicate, but...

Intel or AMD?

I'm pretty sure that this one has been covered to death, but here's my take:

Processors:
Intel though I'd like AMD to give a bit more competition. That said, I haven't really kept up in the past six months to a year, so things may have changed slightly.

IGPUs (integrated):
That one is a bit more of a tougher nut to crack. I'll give this one to AMD though I'm pretty out of the loop; I may just be being nice. From what I've seen, the newer integrated GPUs from Intel have gotten much better, but so have the offerings from AMD.

Servers for folding:
AMD wins though with my guess at recent price decreases and such factors, Intel may be gaining some ground. Also, with the announced changes in BigAdv, this will become a moot point

How about this (these are your only choices):
Transportation:

Station wagon - haul the family with old school style
- or -
SUV - haul the family in my large wheeled car
- or -
MINI Van - haul the family and our stuffs with plenty of room to spare
