Newegg

Just before doing this I looked for a case on both (shhh... I just broke my parent's case when it fell off of a shelf). I usually buy from Newegg, but do check prices on Amazon. I ended up getting just about $5 off by doing just that.

If you had to choose only one:

a single larger monitor (let's say 28")
- or -
two smaller monitors (let's say two 19")

It's what I could think of.

Single large monitor can't stand turning my head to look at two displays.

Spent it with family. Would have preferred friends.

I'm sure not many knew what to do with this... So I'll quickly say, porn is porn. No matter the vehicle. My personal opinion is that porn is a cancer that breeds selfish needs and destroys intimacy with our spouse.

I'd go with give them food. They can't "waste" it on booze or whatever their addiction happens to be (if they have one). The address/location of a shelter would be good too, if you happen to know where a good one is.

Live on a modest amount of money, saving every last penny and semi-retire at 35 or 40 by living off of the interest on your savings (sparsely self-employed; only when needed).

- or -

Live the typical American life and retire at 60-65, if ever.

Yes, I'm working on becoming more of a Mustachian than I already am (got lots of work to do)! I'm thinking of shooting for 'retiring' in around 12-15 years if I can do it. There's lots of good stuff to know even for those that decide not to retire early!

If the only choices were the two, I guess that I'd go with the Porsche. I'm not too sure about the particular reason or whatever, but just a preference. Though, if I was given anything like a car, I'd be overjoyed even if it were a beater.

Could not care less! It's a double edged sword for many celebs. Doing what they love to do yet having to choose to be in the public eye because of it. Sad really... that the media and people have made it a norm to invade celebs of all kinds.

I'd have to say that it'll go on indefinitely (or at least until MaxPC closes shop).

I'd hope that it doesn't happen, but there may will be a point in time that there are no people that visit on a frequent basis. There are not many people that post, but it seems that there are at least a dozen or a few dozen people that read what is posted. Never know, maybe some will suddenly become more active!?!?!

Since L1vingStone kinda brought it up (not to be answered by him):

Opinion on atheists:

Misguided souls. They need to know The Truth.

Let's take a listen, but I doubt that they have valid points.

They have some good and valid challenges to religion, but they're still wrong.
- or -
Yeah, I'm with them (at least for the most part).

I am not answering this... more of a bump! AND an encouragement for someone to be bold. The topic of religion or politics is only as awkward as we allow it to be. Both need to be talked about, more often, more openly and certainly more civilly.

Let me start out by saying that I love "This or That" and I'm sorry I almost broke it with the porn thing. It was meant to be funny. Computer porn being ogling hardware and such (SSDs instead of double Ds).

On the atheist front I'm going to have to go with "Yeah, I'm with them". Because, well, I'm one. I don't want to get too far afield, but it's nice when people explain somewhat their answers to the This or That, so I'll just say, "I don't buy it". I've had some (chemically induced) spiritual experiences and maybe, just maybe there's something there, but religions are made up and I don't think anyone has a monopoly on Truth or a hotline to the Divine (even if such exists, which I doubt). I believe in science as the path to knowledge and I believe in not being a dick as my guide to ethical action. [I have a philosophical basis for this, my own version of Pascal's Wager, but it's usually easier to just say, "Don't be a dick", akin to Kant's Categorical Imperative (yes, easily broken with specific or extreme examples, but it's just a guideline). Okay, wandering now].

I'll try to end lightly so:
Bowies

Jim

or

David

I'll go with David Bowie for 300, Alex :)

Thx for the reply crwlng. I'm in the same boat too

In light of the unseasonably cold weather here (and likely, everywhere), I'd venture to bet that this has been covered, but here it goes:

Better?

Hot weather - can take some clothes off and stay refreshed somehow
- or -
Cold weather - can always throw on another layer or two of clothes

Being a MN native and trying to get out several times I would have to go with Cold.

Saying that, I dont in anyway mean that I would prefer a cold climate 365 if I had the choice.

Shoot Pool

I'd shoot pool. I can do that longer and I enjoy it more than bowling.

I wanted to give this some time as I do not like grapefruit and therefor made my choice a slam dunk. I do love good chocolate and good coffee. Ethiopian would be my #1 coffee and I'm a mild chocolate kind of guy. Milk chocolate or something under the 40% mark.

Cheese:

Stinky/gourmet/Fancy

or

Good ol Processed Kraft/Velveeta

You're missing the entire middle ground, but being from WI, I'd have to shun processed cheeses like Velveeta, Cheese Whiz, and Kraft slices and those types of cheeses.

How about this:

Games/Gaming:

Table-top (cards, board games, dice, etc.)

- or -

Video games (PC or console)

Table top for sure. Chess, cribbage, Rummikub, scrabble, risk, Settlers, munchkin, Bang and pandemic are some of the games I've played in the last year. For me, it's the interpersonal part.

News sources, who do you trust?

MSNBC

AP

BBC

CNN

FOX

I knew I should have jumped on the gaming question. My answer was the same, though. Tabletop all the way. In a room with actual real people you actually know.

I'd say the AP and the BBC. Hell, probably Al-Jazeera too if I bothered. Mostly I stream my local NPR affiliate all day (WBEZ). They carry the BBC overnight.

Intelligence agencies should be in everything. Save American lives and get those terrorists.

-or-

Get out of our stuff. If we leave them alone they'll leave us alone.

tough one. Because, I believe in our constitution and our right to privacy. That being said, I would willingly give up many of those rights to help thwart potential terrorist attacks. I would not, however expect anyone else to elect to do the same.

So, forced to make the choice I would stick to my constitutional guns and say Stay out of my business.

On a road trip and the radio is stuck on, you can only choose between;

Yoko Ono

or

Polka
