Maximum PC

I've been back folding a month now, but may have missed this topic. I'm running a single GTX 670 at stock speed, along with a i7-3820 cpu at four ghz on my latest machine build. I believe until recently (a few weeks) Stanford didn't even have a client ready for the GTX 670. I'm running both GPU and SMP clients with the "Client Control" program.

Question: Is it best to run my GTX 670 with this program for best results? I didn't notice any flags for either my GPU or SMP. Should I go back and read the release notes, (lazy) or do you guys have certain configurations for best performance and PPD? Or am I just sufferin from the luck of the draw? 10% in, I have eight hours plus to go, to pull out 5187 points. (Project: 7623)

I wish my 460 could fold those puppies that fast... I only get about 9,800ppd on those. Yea, it's just luck of the draw, those 5187 point GPU WU's are fairly prevalent right now, so just be happy when you get something else!!!

Crap, I'm down to 8,200 ppd on these 5187 pointers, & that's after cranking the card up from 715/1430/1800 to 800/1600/2000. On the previous round I was averaging 7min 26sec per frame on project 7623, & 7min 33sec per frame on the other 5187 point projects with the card at 715/1430/1800. Now I'm getting 9min 2sec per frame on the 7623 after overclocking.

The problem seems to be with the new core. Previously they were running on core version 2.22, now their running on core version 2.25. I'm off to report this to Stanford.

I'm running one after another of the 5187 pointers (currently project 7626), at 5 min 33 sec per frame, at default (GTX 670) card settings. Argh...
