After a scary couple of hours, see my post in the windows parlor, I finally got my main rig running on my new 3.2Ghz Prescott.

I'm currently leaving it on at its stock speeds for a few days untill the chip has had some "burn-in" time. I can't think of a better way to break in this chip then by throwing F@h at it.

So far I noticed that it is making a difference. I checked the log file from before I installed the CPU. It was taking about 3 minutes to complete 1% of its current WU. Right now it's taking about 30 seconds less to complete 1%.

Any guesses on how far this CPU might overclock?

I'm running a Abit IC-7 Max3, 1 gig of Kingston DDR 4000, and using a Coolermaster Jet-7. I also have a 120mm fan in the case side.
I was able to get an extra 500Mhz out of my old 2.4 Northwood with this setup.

you wont get as much out of the prescott, already runs 20 watts hotter, you will need to go more exotic with cooling, like water and then depending on the individual processor, you could push 3.7

edit i checked to see what my son was getting out of his 3.0e, he runs water cooling and is at 3.6 stable.
re edit p4c800e deluxe, 1gig dual channel pc4000, nvidia 5900, he is able to keep the prescott the same temperature as my 2.8c @3.4 with the same corsair water cooler both at 32c.
