On foldingforum.org, version 7.1.52 is now out, which they say will be the first public stable beta to be released for Version 7 of the Folding Client. Get it NOW on the website.

Got it.
It's right on the top of the main page. They have redone the Stanford folding main page, at least the first page you are taken to right now before the main. "Ready, Set, Fold," Click on the big middle button and you immediately start downloading 7.1.52. It doesn't get any easier than this.

Downloaded and installed, im just not very used to version 7 yet so Im wondering if i set up the flags correctly.

As it is now its like

under configure -> slots -> folding slots (smp) -> I have put under extra slots options (expert only) "client-type - advanced"

under configure -> Expert -> Extra client options -> I have added two flags "client-type : bigadv" and "max-packet-size : big"
I havent added anything under the extra core options.

The log looks like this

Don't know exactly from the logs Wiking, but there is a great Linux manual of how-to on the folding.stanford.edu page:

http://folding.stanford.edu/English/LinGuide

Hope this helps. I intend to use it tomorrow to upgrade my v6 linux to v7

Version 7.1.52 with standard flags tends to download some huge work units.
On my Intel socket 1366, i7 950 CPU the SMP client is running a P7903 work unit. It's a little over 24% done and estimate is for it to take another 9 hours to finish. The 580GTX gets GPU WUs that are smaller: 68.35% finished and 1 hour 23 minutes to completion on a P8032 WU.

On the Intel i7 3960X CPU, socket 2011, at 30.2% - estimate 4 hours 26 minutes to finish running the same P7903 WU. The 580GTX has 31% done and will finish in 3 hours, on the same P8032 WU.

All on standard clocks but now that the weather here in L.A. is starting to cool, I think overclock is in order.

Glad you like it.

Please note, this is still a work in progress. A little rushed to get out along with V7 public beta. ;)

Really needs a command line install section with -dpkg for the fah packages.

A link to the tarballs on the download page would also be nice (for those distros that use neither RPM or DEBs).

On my X58 board, i7 950 machine I have had troubles with the previous GPU and SMP folding clients not being uninstalled.
O should of uninstalled them myself I guess before installing the new client. Long run times might be the other service SMP running in the background. I need to start checking how many folding clients I am actually running all at the same time.

Not likely to get on the front page, but I'll make sure it gets on the Lin guide page.
