Many of my folding teammates and friends have strong military ties and backgrounds. Tonight 28 December at 9ET on Military Channel there is a show called Triggers, featuring the M777 Howitzer and the history of artillery, the most destructive weapon of war ever. About 10 minutes into it, there is a brief interview with a young lieutenant whose name many of you will recognize. Also to be reshown a midnight ET. Hope those of you who can catch it enjoy it.

well I can say one thing, Lt. McCord looks all grown up now.

next thing, is he going to make a career out of the military, or is it a stepping stone for something better?

No, GM, he loves soldiering. In fact, he just arrived at Benning tonight to begin Ranger training this Sunday. I'm quite sure he's going to stick with it. Already has his jump wings and air assault badge. He's headed to Fort Carson after Ranger training and thanks for watching him.

GM and friends,

In searching for a good upgrade path for mom's old computer, I came across a post of GM's. Mr. Waters your T-Patch caught my eye. I'm a current member of 36ID. In fact, I recently returned from Iraq where the Division HQ commanded the Southern Region. Happy New Year.
My purpose for intruding on your forum is to see if you folks are aware of any current enlisted Texas Guardsmen in the rank of SFC or below who may be interested in the following GS11 Federal Job at Camp Mabry in Austin, TX: http://www.agd.state.tx.us/jobs/hro/arm ... 0(SYSADMIN),%20GS-2210-11,%20PD%20D1618000%20(90042000).pdf
Potential applicants also need to hold a 25 series (current dujour Signal Branch) MOS as well as a COMP TIA Security+ certificate. These constraints often limit the talent pool quite painfully. So, If you folks know a talented Sysadmin who meets these requirements then please share the link with them. Data Center work can't be beat.

Thanks
1LT Mac Cole

ahh the t patch, that is in honor of a team member who folded with us who was a retired colonel from that div. 71st Airborne, He suffered a heart attack at his desk which he did not survive, some of us integrated his avatar into our own as a way of honoring him as a great person. I am ex Army as well, 8th div. for a while, and 3rd div. 1st bn, 15th Inf, Rock of the Marne.

for you it should be on starting right now unless your military channel is different.
