A folder since 2007, Hermit has continued to fold, but under the radar.

It looks like there has been a significant change in folding resources.

With 135 posts shown on his forum profile, it seems he keeps under the radar here, too.

Maybe he'll see this and say "Hi". Or maybe not. He's a Hermit, after all.

But I hope he does. Good work on the folding, Hermit!

Hermit,

Great to see that they released you from the Witness Protection program and let you get back to Folding.

It's fun when the 'old timers' come back to visit!

:P

You need an i7 2600K. Mine does ~40k ppd @ 4.4GHz. Uses less power too.

Makes me want to sell my i7 930 to pick one up. The 40k PPD vs 15k PPD makes it totally worth it. The cost should be nearly a wash if I could find someone to pick it up for a decent price. Actually, I think that I'll just wait and get a 4P G34 (4 proc server board) in a year or so if I can get the $$ together. Waaaaaay more PPD (we're talkin ~400k-450k PPD)! Expensive, but well worth the difference in time, futzing, hardship; though the costs can be stretched a bit over time by putting things together piece by piece. The electricity to run the thing is about the same (or less) that I currently use to get 40k-45k, so things are great there too.

Not sure exactly when it happened, but our resident Hermit just qualified for a Top 100 badge too!
