Traveling down old Route 66, not far from Winslow, Arizona is the site commonly known as Meteor Crater. If you're out that way, it's just a couple of miles off the road and worth the trip.

Washington Monument was the 1st to come to mind, but it falls 45 ft. short.

The "Gateway Arch" in St. Louis Mo. stands at 630 feet tall. I stood at the top (inside) when I was 16 years old.

All good guesses but not correct.
1. Im standing at the bottom of a structure 600ft tall or about 190m.
2. It was built during the 1960's.

The "Space Needle" in Seattle, Washington, was built in "1962" and comes in at 605 ft. Who knows? It may have settled 5 ft. since then. ; )

Definitely NOT the Aswan Dam which took 10 years to construct and is 364 feet (111 meters) high.

Hoover dam took 5 years to complete but it is taller.

Drove over the bridge by the hoover dam last March. I was quite choked that you couldnt see a dam thing from it. (See what i did there?? ) I wish we had had more time to turn around and go to the view area.

That totally makes me want to say the Superdome, but it isn't tall enough.
