Nice shot from the air.

I was lucky enough to have a personal tour of the Missouri when it was in Long Beach. My Dad was in charge of the rebuilding of the power systems. Even with the technological advances of the 80's when firing the big guns they still used the old school method.

I also had the chance to see the USS New Jersey BB-62, USS Nimitz CVN68.

I was able to see the advances of computers at that time they even used this to input or output information.

Fun times played games from the 8" floppy same games that are played now. The one that comes to mind is "anger birds" played it in the 80's but now it has graphics. So simple but people are still drawn to it.

your price tag on the 2.5 clue gave it away... I would have still been thinking historic building or structure without it lol

Wow, not even an hour, guess I should have made that one of the last clues...

Eiffel Tower it is:
Image

Since I already took the effort to do this whole thing at once, here it is:

#1: Thomas Edison signed the guestbook
#2: Was once the tallest advertising space in the world
#3: Over 200 Million have visited here
#4: Has exceeded it's planned life cycle 6 fold.
#5: The Crysler Building stole its record
#6: Was sold twice for scrap
#7: Its restaurant was shipped to Louisiana
#8: Built for the Worlds Fair
#9: German communications jammed from here durring WW1
#10: Lift cables cut so Hitler would have to climb to the top

Upon visiting, Thomas Edison signed the guestbook with the following entry: "To M Eiffel the Engineer the brave builder of so gigantic and original specimen of modern Engineering from one who has the greatest respect and admiration for all Engineers including the Great Engineer the Bon Dieu, Thomas Edison."

In the 20's & 20's Illuminated advertising signs for Citreon hung from 3 of it's 4 sides maing it the tallest advertising structure in the world.

Finished Construction in 1889 for the Worlds Fair hosted in Paris France, it was originally planned to be torn down after 20 years. Thankfully radio was a booming business at the end of the 20 year land lease & the city deemed the tower as valuable for communication purposes and allowed it to stand.

Upon the German occupation of Paris in 1940, the lift cables were cut by the French so that Adolf Hitler would have to climb the steps to the summit. The parts to repair them were allegedly impossible to obtain because of the war. In 1940 German soldiers had to climb to the top to hoist the swastika, but the flag was so large it blew away just a few hours later, and was replaced by a smaller one. When visiting Paris, Hitler chose to stay on the ground. It was said that Hitler conquered France, but did not conquer the Eiffel Tower. When the Allies were nearing Paris, Hitler ordered General Dietrich von Choltitz, the military governor of Paris, to demolish the tower along with the rest of the city. Von Choltitz disobeyed the order. The lifts of the Tower were working normally within hours of the Liberation of Paris.

In 1925, The con artist Victor Lustig "sold" the tower for scrap metal on two separate, but related occasions.

A restaurant and its supporting iron scaffolding midway up the tower was dismantled; it was purchased and reconstructed on St. Charles Avenue and Josephine Street in the Garden District of New Orleans, Louisiana, by entrepreneurs John Onorio and Daniel Bonnot, originally as the Tour Eiffel Restaurant, later as the Red Room and now as the Cricket Club (owned by the New Orleans Culinary Institute). The restaurant was re-assembled from 11,000 pieces that crossed the Atlantic in a single 40-foot (12 m) cargo container.

On November 28, 2002, the Eiffel Tower recorded its 200,000,000th guest.

Is on my "bucket list" of places to visit.

LOL... Not a remake, though the concept was not an original one either...Ruggero Deodato's Cannibal Holocaust shocked the world in 1980 using the documentarians dissapear / footage later found formula.

But Blair Witch is not a place... but no, it's not the location used in Blair Witch

Clue #1 Cheesy remake filmed here

Clue #2 Covers an area of more than 30 square miles

Havasu was the California bordering Lake I was looking for!

And the final clue would have been: After being dismantled in 1967, the previous version of the London Bridge now rests here.

Resting between California on its West side and Arizona on its East side, Lake Havasu covers an area of about 19,300 acres or 30.156 square miles. Prior to the building of the Parker Dam in the mid 1930's, Lake Havasu was just a small portion of the Colorado river & only a few feet deep. Lake Havasu as we know it today is simply the reservoir for the Parker Dam. At its deepest point, Lake Havasu is now 90 feet deep. Much of the surrounding area was flooded to create the reservoir which is just one of dozens used to keep California wet durring long dry spells.

The remake of Piranha in 2010 was filmed almost entirely at Lake Havasu. As seen in the movie, Lake Havasu is a hugely popular Spring Break destination, bringing in tens of thousands of college spring breakers every year. Because of that popularity, It's also a popular hang-out for the Girls Gone Wild film crew.

Despite it's spring break notoriety, the lake is actually more popular as a recreational fishing & boating location which brings in the vast majority of the estimated 3.5 million yearly visitors.

Robert McCulloch, owner & founder of McCulloch Chainsaws, purchased the tract of land on the East side of the lake that later became Lake Havasu City AZ in the early 60's, but apparently that wasn't enough for Robert... In 1968, he purhcased the actual London Bridge from the city of London, had it dismantled & each piece individually numbered. London Bridge was then shipped to Lake Havasu where it was applied as a veneer to a newly completed concrete bridge which was constructed over dry land. After the London Bridge veneer was applied, the land under the bridge was dredged in order to form the canal that now runs under Lake Havasu's London Bridge.

Between 1967 & 1968, White Sturgeon from San Pablo Bay California were seeded into Lake Havasu, although none have been spotted in the last few decades, people still come to Lake Havasu in hopes of spotting these magnificnet fish which can grow up to 20 feet in length & are believed to live for 100 years ore more.

Lake Tahoe & Lake Havasu are possibly the two most famous of the California Reservoir lakes, though size wise, they are only the 14th, & 15th largest (respectively) in the California Reservoir system. Both lakes are also unique in that they are California reservoirs, yet rest between two states with Lake Tahoe resting between California & Nevada. Lake Tahoe however, existed as a lake prior to the buiding of the Lake Tahoe Dam, and only the added water from the resulting dam is included in the California Reservoir system, roughly 1/2 of Lake Tahoe's total volume.

On a personal note, I vacationed at Lake Havasu in the summer of 1979 at the age of 7 with my mom & step dad. I even saw the London Bridge, though I didn't notice any Girls Going Wild :(
