Maximum PC

After a weekend of torment and hell in which my computers completed more two digit work units than exists in all of the heavens, I, Gadget, have finally closed the gap on the one known as Chumly. It has been a valiant 17 days, but sometime tonight or tommorow morning, Chumly will inevitably succumb to plentiful ALU's, deeper pipelines, and greater resources than any of his computers from Nokia could ever hope to cope with.

Let us not forget Chumly, this weekend he put up a greater fight than anyone could have imagined and, for a short time, it appeared that his ingenious cluster of SMS-message passing Nokia's might actually sustain him. Alas, 'little Chilly'', as he is affectionality known in the seedier areas of Kansas after the unfortunate incedents with a goat (he insists it only happened the "one time", but no one is buying that load of crap), forgot that cell phone batteries were designed to erode after a mere 30 hours of maximum processing. Sadly, Chumly's Nokia cluster turned to goo inside of their power chargers and his numbers have now plummeted to near zero - putting him in the little league game with SpiderMonkey and Belboz.

I am in 563rd postion and he turned in a 200 pointer and jumped up to 555th position. It looks like I'll finish a couple of big ones tomorrow and retake him though. This could go on for a while.

Hey, this old beast puts up a fight don't she?? Doesn't want to just give up. The race to 500 is futile though as it'll take me 15 days to reach that rung.

Though I'd love to talk shit, I just have to grin and bear it. New house, computers still laying on the floor in O.F.F. mode, no network...I just have to watch them collect dust from your farm.

In the sideline, I just found out I lost my other folders. I had them set up to send me their WU's, but they found them and changed the names so they can get their meager points:p It's up to me and my own wallet to fix this ordeal

Look at when gag-it started. July 3rd. Not bad for under one month's work. I also just started on June 16th. If you look, there's a few meager "chumly" attempts and various other names I used until I nailed down this one.

Today is the day of days I belive. I just turned in my last WU, and I belive you did too. At the moment, there's only 36 points seperating us. All you need to do is have one of your folders to turn in a WU and you have the official overtake in the bag. Just hope I don't finish this one pretty quick or you may have to delay for a bit longer.

Well, maybe I'll see you in the 300's after you get situated.

I'm stuck at the moment, but can't you guys get a little aggressive with each other for a bit? I'd think that the goat/monkey war could be as great as the snake/mongoose.

Hmm, about $600 is all I need to dash away all of Spider's hopes and dreams of ever catching up.

I found that Gigabyte makes a nice board for 2 Athlon XPs. I could put two AMD Barton 2400+ Mobile in there and oc each to 3200+ speeds Those three things right there would run $343 w/o hsf's.

Then all I would need is some RAM, HDD, Vid, CD, PSU, Depending on what I get, that could run another $250-$350.


If I had a stable job, I would buy it today. I've got 2.2k in the bank


And oh yeah, I just completed a 239 point Tinker at 9:07 AM CDT. I am now ranked higher than 1000!
