Greets, y'all, it has been a while. I am wondering and hoping the folding team here knows an answer. I use one GTX580 video card clocked at 894mhz GPU core and 2166mhz memory clock. I have tested and proven the video memory to be stable up to 2300mhz but in games I saw no difference of fps between benchmarking runs between a number of settings from 2166mhz up to 2300mhz. I downclocked the memory simply because it seemed wasteful to put it under more strain than could be used in games. Now I do recognize that Folding is a different computational beast for pixel pushing so I ask if anyone knows if bumping up the memory clocks on GTX580 boards yields any performace gains. I figured I would ask before I tried running up the clocks. Thanks for your time.
