My question to you is.......whats it worth ;-)

I'm thinking about upgrading and would like to upgrade everything. Trouble is I don't make enough to upgrade and build a new computer, so I am forced to sell some old components.

BBAti 9500Pro with 128mb memory. It has 3.0ns memory on the board and has been successfully bios flashed. Windows now recognizes the card as a 9700Pro. It will overclock, but I never did for very long because I can't just afford to up and buy a new video card! I have the DVI-VGA connector and power supply adapter that goes with it along with its original drivers.

Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum with Live Drive and remote. Hardly ever used and everything works extremely well. I have all of the software for the card as well as the remote, and game port adapter as well as the live drive.

Please let me know what this stuff is worth, thanks!

Does the Live drive have firewire?

I'd offer 50$ + shipping for the video card.

I guess I should've sold it sooner if its only worth 50 bucks now! LOL. Any more people wish to take a stab at how much these things are worth. Yes, the Live drive DOES have firewire. Here is a picture of the card and Live drive at Creative's site:

So what does everyone think. I'd like appraisals for both items please!

Ok,

Thanks for the reply BL. I was thinking about selling them for $80 a piece or 150 for both. Is that too much do you think? I was on here a couple months ago and people were gettin 150 bucks for their 9600XT's......and my 9500Pro will in most cases outperform my friends 9600XT! Maybe they have dropped that much though I guess.

Thanks again though!

Ever since the 6600GT series became popular, the 9500 and 9600 cards have bottomed out in price.

A retail 9600 pro is now about 100 bucks on newegg.

Thanx for the reply US......but that is a 9600Pro. A 9600XT on Newegg can be found for 130 in brand new form. Whether OEM or Retail I don't know. I don't think I can compare a 9500Pro to a 9600Pro because of the fact that the 9500Pro is just as fast as a 9600XT and in some aspects faster. That is why I compare it to a 9600XT instead. I feel that $80 is more than fare, considering how little I stressed it. I realize its not a top of the line card anymore, but for a second computer it would be MORE than enough to do some DX9 gaming at lower resolutions.

P.S. Any other opinions.

I totally agree with you.

The problem is that many of the retards out there buying video cards simply assume that a Radeon 9600 Pro must be faster then a 9500 Pro because of the naming nomenclature. They don't understand that the 9500 Pro has the same amount of transistors as a 9700 Pro and when soft modded, can yield better then 9600XT performance.

Unfortunately, only those "in the know" would pay what the card is actually worth, and even then they might try to take advantage of someone who didn't.

Why didn't they call the 9600 a 9500 and the 9500 a 9600?

So it's like releasing a 3400+ AMD 64 before the 3200+ AMD 64?

WTF Mate?

The problem was that in order to save money they based the 9500 Pro on the R300 core and not the ghetto RV350 that wasn't ready for production yet. They needed a midrange card at that time otherwise nVidia would have eaten up the midrange marketshare.

Hey Flytrap, thanks for the reply!

Its good to know there is someone out there who knows where I'm coming from. Like I've said before, I know the card isn't top of the line by far, but I have played all of the current games on the market with this card, albeit at a low resolution. It will overclock, and you can squeeze some extra performance out of it. Especially if you do a H20 setup with it. No, it wouldn't be spectacular, but would suffice for a folder, a loaner at a lan party, or a kids computer who loves to do some gaming with his friends. Do you think $80 would be a good price for this card, Flytrap? I was thinking $80 for each or $150 if both sold to the same person. What do you think?

At least $90, if you're fairly lucky $105, and if you're really really lucky $118

I just recently sold a 9600 Pro for $75 (with an Iceberq cooler), if that gives you any idea what's "worth" what.
