 Post subject: opinions on a computer i may buy

i was wondering if any one had any suggestions for changes on a new computer i am planning to build

all the prices are from newegg


AMD Athlon 64 3500+ the newcastle version

i chose to leave out a sound card and speakers because i have heard onboard audio is not that bad and i'm planning to save up for speakers

get the neo2 platnum with the nforce3 chipset. its worth the few extra bucks, other then that it looks great!

agreed

go with some better ram like this, it has better timmings(if you plan to overclock at all)
you should consider a Western Digital 10,000rpm SATA hard drive either 36GB or 74GB for your games and OS

well i can't really afford another HD but i am saving up for 2 15k rpm scsi HDs and a controller card
