Is THIS card, brand new, worth 100 bucks?

Well, it's either that one or THIS one. I can't tell the difference except for a couple letters.

What say you?

Just gaming or Folding@Home as well?

If F@H as well, then the 9800 GTX is worth $100.

Ah if it'll fold, then no the 4850, yes to 9800.

Sorry to hi-jack a bit here, but I'm kind of wondering why the folding matters... wouldn't a card that folds, just game better? So why not recommend that from the beginning?

Is it because folding requires different kinds of operation and the 9800 is better? More parallel? Different memory? Any specific reason?

For folding, I think that Nvidia's cuda drivers make it a better pick.

thanks m8! just got her installed and she's folding away nicely! I panicked for a moment, I had forgotten how much larger the 9800gtx cards are over the old 8800 gts. It won't fit in my side rig, an Antec super-lanboy. Do'h!

so, my wife's computer lost that 8800gts and gained the 9800gtx *grumble*

Put the gts back in my side rig.
