Backstory: I sold this system (most of it anyway) to an ex-roomate of mine about 3 or so years ago. He recently bought a laptop and wants to sell system. He asked me if I want to buy it. I don't feel obligated to buy it, however, it would be a descent addition to the folding farm and could use a 'new' monitor. :)
So... How much do you think I should offer?

Athlon 1.33Ghz (T-Bird)
ECS K7S5A (Yeah, yeah... Spare me the "ECS Sucks!" comments :P )
8x Plextor CDRW
16x Toshiba DVDROM
Maxtor 120GB Diamond Max 9 (2MB Cache)
40GB HDD (I think it's a WD Caviar, but not 100% sure)
Gainward Geforce 4 Ti 4400 128MB
SB Live!
256MB PC2100
Enermax Case w/ crappy Enermax 300watt PSU (I'm surprised they had the balls to slap their name on this crappy PSU)
Refurbished 19" IBM Monitor (Don't know exact model)

Thanks

$150-200. A t-bird on an ECS with pc2100? If you're just looking for a refurb monitor, they can be had for cheaper than this.

Yeah, I'm not 100% sure if it was PC2100 or PC133, as I belive the K7S5A was on of those weird motherboards that had both SDR and DDR slots.

i'd say 200 would be a good deal. the gfx card can play doom3, the processor will put out decent ppd. and who couldnt use an extra 160 gigs and a cd drive and a dvd drive. i'd buy it, keep what you want and the piece it up and sell it. you could almost pay off the 200 bucks you spend

Not a bad idea... But I've got plans.:)

I just let my roomate borrow my Secondary PC, I was previously letting him borrow an AthlonXP system. I'm going to re -do that pc and give that to his brother (a friend of mine). I'll be using the Geforce 4 from this system for the graphics card, as he's starting to get into PC gaming.
He's coming up from an Athlon 1Ghz and a Radeon 8500, so I'm sure he'll enjoy the extra speed. :D

As for the rest of the system, I'm just gonna slap linux on it and use it for folding.
