hi,

i would like to buy a new cpu could someone tell me how much this would cost at the cheapest in canadian or if u dunt know american? and where i could get it?

amd athlon 64 fx-53 s939
s939 motherboard (theres only one right?)
2 gig ram (not ddr2 )
250gig maxtor harddrive
LG dvd-rw drive
LG dvd drive
3.5" floppy
550 watt psu
19" viewsonic p95+

I would like to know how much this would cost. I am planning to get this cpu.
and 1 more question. Which video card is a better choice geforce 6800 or radeon x800

Did you look at Newegg.com? they dont always have the lowest prices, but they come in very close and their shipping and customer service is hard to match.

im pretty sure they ship to canada...

theres also a very high demand for the socket 939 chips. hard to obtain one right now.

ok thx well i dunt care abt the 2 slot thing. but in the sept issue it said the leadtec version of 6800 is better then the x800 (correct me if im wrong) if so im gonna buy it i want to get the most owerfullest machine i can get with an amd64 fx-53.

if you actually read other computer mags like pcgamer or cgw like i do.
they all said both the video cards are evenly matched. it is a tie.
you know,like benchmarks and in game fps stuff......
so, it all depends on you. but i would still recommend the X800 from ati :lol: :lol:

i'd say 3 grand, thats a uber processor and with 2 gigs of ram and a nice monitor. hd is good sized as is the PSU and everything else seems good quality. throw in shipping (maybe extra for canada) or if from a canadian vendor throw in tax.

ok thx i just ordered it for 3500 candian. but i switched the monitor to a 22 inch and i ordered a nvidia geforce 6800 ultra
