I have an Nvidia Geforce 9600GT 1GB made by MSI that I purchased in summer of '09. The card still runs great, including the fan. I am wondering what it would be worth today. I purchased it for $80 back in '09. There is nothing wrong with the card, the only reason I am looking to sell it is I just upgraded to an ATI Radeon 6850, so it's just taking up space now.
Thanks!

You kinda know the answer I'm afraid. To a willing buyer, it's best in a build. On it's own, it costs more to ship it. eBay is more flaky than ever and have some thinking their stuff is gold, but the bids never come.

$25. I hate it, but that's about it. You can push $100 as Amazon and the others push but you're fishing for a sucker. It supports F@H, so if you can get some ppd data from it, then you're opening up a whole new genre of buyers that may jump on it. I think it could get 2K ppd, and that's worth coin in the folding arena.

Yeah, not even worth 25 dollars since you can get more modern cheapy throwaway gpu's for around the same cost that'll perform better and have the more up to date API's. Maybe $15 on CL or gift it to a friend. You can always try ebay. It's still a good card for multimedia use. I'd keep it around in case you run into hardware issues.

Factoring a rebate, I got a GT 430 for $30. I'd say $20 is fair for it.

Do you have another PCIe slot? Always a good time to start folding on it.

I figured as much. I do have another PCIe slot, although why would I want both cards in at the same time? They can't be used together (obviously).

You can try to use it for Physx in games, but it may be more of a hassle than it's worth. Or you can fold, which will just happen in the background and use your GPU for a good cause.
