I've got an SO-DIMM module (DDR2-800) that I will be removing very soon from my laptop and want to sort of sell off. Anyone know approximately how much one could go for (I think it's a Mmicro-branded/Crucial stick. Might be a samsung, don't remember, but it is a major name-brand stick.

(I'm going to be upgrading to 4GB seeing that 2GB just doesn't cut it with Win7 and onboard graphics....)

Estimated value? The computer itself was new when I got it about 15 months ago, never had a problem with the memory (just need more) and the lappy sadly only has 1 memory slot, or I'd just get a second 2GB stick....

As a side note, I just checked dell's website... they want $91 for a 1GB stick, by the way...

This ought to give you a decent idea. Dell's always way over-priced.

Yes, I can see that since Newegg had a similar stick (not the same brand... the one on NewEgg was a Patriot stick) for only $70 shipped to my door. So, it's very obvious which step I took there... Too bad my machine can't hold a second one or I would have bought two of them from Newegg.

Does something in the ball park range of $20 for the 2GB stick sound about right. Or should I maybe ask more like $30-35 and then work down from there? I want to make sure that I'm getting what its worth (not underpricing myself) but at the same time, I don't want people to think i'm nuts for asking too much either.

$20 is a good spot. First off it's used and most new ones are in the $30 range already.

I'd go for $18 solid, it's probably the best sweet spot in terms of pricing it.

OK, well at least I have some idea. I just want to be able to get something for it (and not just $5) just because I'll never actually need it, partially because this laptop only holds 4GB of RAM, and if I do get another laptop anytime soon, it will more than likely take DDR3. Plus, someone may just want to upgrade their machine or whatever, but maybe doesn't have the extra cash to spend, etc. I figured $20 was about right. I don't think I'll accept anything less than $15 for it because new ones are about $30, and this one has been tested to be perfectly fine (tested it with memtest86 myself).
