My laptop's battery has failed for the third time (I use it a lot). I told myself when that happened I'd buy a new one.
Thus, I would like your estimations of value on the current laptop.
Dell Inspiron E1505
Core Duo 1.73GHz (NOT Core 2!)
2GB DDR2-533 (fastest the mobo will take, cannibalized from a new laptop which ships with 2x1GB because I want my 4GB that I currently have)
Radeon X1300 Mobility
160GB HDD 5.4k (again new, wiped and swapped from a potential new machine)
No operating system!
The screen (15.4" 1280x800) is in perfect condition, the lid has scuffs and the palm rests have discoloration from use. The battery (as mentioned) is completely shot (30 minutes maximum--may not even charge) and the A/C adapter, though covered in electrical tape, works.
I haven't bought any replacement yet, however.
