Maximum PC

i have this abit mobo. its the fatality socket 939.

thats what i could find on it. but not anything good to base a sale price on it. the board is new, but i dont have any of the accessories. just the I/O shield.


i also have an Antec true 430W psu that i would like to sell.

so what do u guys think?

The motherboard is worth $50.
The PSU is worth $20.

Agreed on the prices. Without the accessories for the mobo, brings it down a bit. Didn't those come with an addon sound card, pci-e x1 or something?

I can believe some of those prices. But one of them is new in the box, and the others all appear to come with all the accessories including a CPU monitor all which make the board that much more valuable to the buyer. The OP's board bare with just the I/O shield, IMO, would be lucky to fetch $50, maybe $75 if the right buyer comes along. As we all know, it's worth what people are willing to pay for it.

i may be mistaken but isnt the 939 a P4? if it is than i will be able to throw my old dell P4 2.8ghz cpu in there. what could i sell that for? looks to me to be a good folding MOBO it has 2 PCIE slots, and enough space for 2 dual slot cards.

NO, lol, SKT 939 is AMD, P4 is Intel, which was the SKT 478 in those days. *facepalm*

Yeah, 939 is AMD. That and the Athlon 64 made AMD king a few years ago. That board was over 200 bucks when it came out, was one of the top kick-ass gaming boards in '05.

Also helped that it was AFTER Abit changed it's capacitor formula from that black market one to one that actually worked well. After that they made rock solid boards. Honestly, you're likely to fetch a decent deal on ebay with it, just list it as it is and untested, etc. and trust me, someone will bite hard on it, maybe even to replace one they screwed up from a bad overclock, lol. The PSU u may wanna keep around as a spare however, it's always a good idea. Test it to make sure it works well and then decide. If you don't have a spare, then keep it, if you do, then sell it. Either way you can make good on that. It's a nice PSU.

well the psu isnt powerful enough to run half my system. so i think imma test it and sell it.
