If the entire news article is displayed in the short write up, the Read More link should not be displayed.

This link implies there is more to the article. Often times I click the link to read more, only to discover there is no more! That is very annoying.

1st, like every other decent sized site, they use templates to ease/speed up posting of articles.

2nd, if you don't like it then go somewhere else or make your own site.

Template or not I have to agree with the OP; clicking a link titled "Read More" should actually contain more content and not just a link to comments.

So the real problem here is that we need to get Murph and One4 to write longer articles. So far they have been coming up short. 8)

Be carefull for what you ask, you might end up with "and one time, at bandcamp..." and nothing more.
