Last night I tried logging in to post a problem, but was unable to log in no matter how many times I changed my password. This morning the issue was miraculously resolved. I can now log in to compose a post, but now it seems that the forums have a hard time letting you preview or submit your post. What is going on?

Yes. The aforementioned "mad traffic" has pushed the old Amiga we run this thing off of to the limit. We're upgrading to a 386SX2 50 tonight or tomorrow, so a brief downtime will (hopefully) be rewarded by increased performance and less overall weirdness.

there were no 386sx2-50s, you must be thinking of the 486SX2-50

386s were never clock doubled. 386 sx was 16 bit external data path, dx was 32 bits external and topped out at 40 mhz (amd version). both were 32 bits internal and no 386 ever had a math co built in, it was an external chip.

throw an amd 5x86-133 and run it @160, the forumz will rock then.
