Yeah. I'm really sorry I didn't have time to install several different browsers and find solutions for everyone.

Phew. Thanks! I guess I don't have to go to church tomorrow, then. :P

Apparently, Opera supports user stylesheets natively. Just go to Tools -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Content -> Style Options, and there's a setting to choose your own custom stylesheets.

Most of those stylish scripts work in Greasemonkey and Opera, Maxx. Just click "Load as user script"

We should get the backgrounds fixed for default installs next week sometime, assuming I can steal a little dev time. Rather than spend 20 minutes here and there, we're just going to do a couple of big bugfix days over the next month or so.

Concerning the icon at the bottom, yes you have to make sure you only have one style enabled at a time.
FWIW, the styles only show up in that list if you are currently visiting the site it is enabled on. So if you go to websites outside of the forums/MPC, you wont see any of the forum styles available.

Sweet... good info, SG. That'll make it easier to troubleshoot some scripts .. if it doesn't work, first check to see if your script recognises the site. :)

Instead of MPC simply offering the old skin or other skins as choices to the user (it's not that hard, it's only PHPBB), we should just apply a browser hack to make it look better?

Uh. No. Sorry. That doesn't work for me.

I say live with the orange until they change it or use the tools at hand to make it what "YOU" want it to be. Like you say. "It's not that hard"

It absolutely amazes me how much bitching is going on about the orange.
They already said it will be changed eventually but they are working on more important things first.

I mean nothing personal but this is getting ridiculous.

The complaints about the colors are understandable (well, they should be expected anyway). I like that the changes brought on alot of new customizations.

The whole "I'm not coming back until you change the colors" thing is kind of ridiculous, though.

Could we please not derail the thread?

This thread is for discussing HOW-TO change the forum colours. Comments, complaints and complaints about complaints should be posted elsewhere.

Actually, since the complaint thread was close, I guess you'll have to post 'em to /dev/null.

I just don't want this thread to get cluttered ... it is intended to help people, and I don't want 'em to get confused in the search.

Thanks! :)

Wow thanks for the info :D I'm using Don's second theme right now. I'm not too fond of the crapload of colors, so I'll edit that and upload it later.

Well that sucks.

I guess we will have to just post up the code instead? Although I haven't seen anybody come up with any new styles in a while now.

Wooo! I knew that if I ignored the issue long enough it would resolve itself. ;)
