Maximum PC

Hey all,

This is my first time seeing this forum since I usually click on a favorite to get to the Forums I am used to: MaxPC Commport at Delphiforums.

But Delphiforums is down at the moment and I thought I would try to get there through MaxPC's website like you used to.

What is this? Is it the same thing? Related? Totally Different?

I see some of the same people here, same forum names, etc.

Is this Delphiforums with a "skin"?

This is now Maximum PC's official forum. Commport, as you've seen, still exists and a lot of members still frequent it.

or do more people frequent the other because it is what we are used to?

why have an official one that is separate from the orignally established one? Can't they just move that one onto MaxPC's site?

More people frequent this one, but the question of their supiriority in matters technical is something yet unproven.

And they can't run the old forums here because delphi does all that and probably wants to keep its code and databases secret.

There's a thread or two towards the beginning of Mag Feedback that goes over all this stuff. You might find some interest in checking them out
