I got an email today like follows and not sure if it is legit:

I've never opted in nor added myself to any MaxPC mailing list so this is why I am curious as to the validity of this email. This is the first email of its type reguarding MaxPC. I haven't changed any of my settings here or elsewhere...

I've never gotten one but I have been getting one from ebay that I'm not too sure about.

When you subscribe to the magazine, you're automatically added to our list if you give us your email address. If you follow the opt-out directions at the bottom of the page, I've been told that we won't hassle you again.

To the best of my knowledge, this is the first time we've ever sent out a survey, so we don't use the list very often.

I don't wanna opt out...

I want more chances to win. That survey was full before I even got to answer it.

BTW - I think its the second one. Can't recall for sure because I'm on Tom's Board as well.
