Sorry if there is some ancient thread on this but I don't think so. I've noticed that in the past week, the forum doesn't mark the topic read when I go back to the forum index.

Nor does the Mark All Topics Read work either. It gives you the message that they are, but they don't.

Anyone else having this problem? I know it is not my browser since I don't have this problem at PCG.

Yea, I think it is related to the same issue as the timing problems.

Actually, that's a feature I believe. It shouldn't have been marking entire forums read, unless you looked at the posts. If you want to mark an entire forum read after you've looked at the topics, just click "Mark forum read" at the top of the index in the folder you're looking at.

He means that even though you have looked at the thread, it is still unread. They usually stick like that for a few minutes, and then you can get rid of them by click on the thread again. Its just a pain is all.

Well, thats what I meant at least. I'll read a thread, then return to the forums, and it will be marked unread still. Its frustrating when scanning for new posts/replies, becuase I've ended up in the same thread more than a few times.

I guess my explanation was crappy. That doesn't work either I'm afraid. You click on it, it tells you that all topics have been marked read, but they haven't.

Click F5 to update the index. It should now have all the threads you have clicked on marked as read and any you replied to will now have your nic as latest reply.
