Sorry for the continued slowdown.

The web monkey in charge of this sort of thing is on vacation unfortunately. He'll be back first thing Monday. There's some sort of intermittent problem with our database server, and the other guys are reticent to fool with it, since it's pretty crucial to a lot of other Future websites.

I promise that this is on the top of his stack for Monday morning.

it's 10:22 a.m. central standard time and they seem to be blazing fast to me.

Like I said two posts above, there's a sporadic load problem (CPU usage spiking) on the database server that's messing the whole thing up on a semi-random basis. The guy who is the expert on that particular machine is out of town, and unreachable until Monday, when he'll look at it (and hopefully fix it quickly).

Okay guys, I'm going to lock this thread until Will can update us on Monday. Please do NOT POST AGAIN about the forums being slow, it's a known issue that occurs intermittently that will be addressed, as Will said, when the web monkey returns.
