So, the popup ad at the homepage is getting annoying. I know that you probably have to sell advertising to help pay for the magazine production, but couldn't it be placed somewhere else? It's getting annoying to me (and I"m sure others agree).

What about a paid website subscription (or make it part of the magazine subscription) where it would have less ads (maybe banners) or no ads (Even better).

I'm guessing maybe that he specifically doesn't use an adblocking extension on this site as a show of support. But yeah, I use AdBlock Plus on Chrome and it works swell.

I suppose MPC could sacrifice some website real estate for some ad space.

In the OP's defense, there are some computers that are outside of our control. When I'm on break or at lunch at work I like to check the website to see what's newsworthy, but I don't have the privileges to install Adblock on that computer. Not to mention what a great way to welcome new visitors to the site - annoy the piss out of them with interrupting popup ads.

I believe I complained about the audio with the ads a while back for the exact same reason and I'm happy to see that the current batch of popups don't include audio.
