Maximum PC

I have not been able to get my sig to post, besides cutting and pasting. The button is clicked to display sig, and I have tried various versions to ensure it was below the character limit. Not that it's a big deal site is awesome and the help is amazing.

Have you seen any post have a sig? Not you havn't. Now if you take that piece of knowledege and add a bit of thought you should be able to deduce something.

Hey Kebran, despite what options the profile displays, sigs have been disabled on this board. A partial reason for this dates back to when this forum was hosted on Delphi (Commport) and a certain member really abused the privilege. For that as well as other reasons, it's not something that's going to be reinstated on this forum.

Another popular question that pops up from time to time is the use of Avatars. Once you reach 100 posts, if the option still hasn't been activated, feel free to drop Number Six ([Ch]ams) a PM and he'll take care of it for you. As of this posting, you're at 36.

One final note - the search function on this forum works really well. Between the search and the Maximum FAQ section, you should find yourself pretty much covered for the most basic questions/concerns. Otherwise for future reference, you might want to consider leaving a disclaimer in your post that you've tried searching and couldn't find an answer.

Thanks for pointing that out One4yu2c and for that I appologize. I sometimes find myself not coming across in a friendly and helpful demeanor. Its not because I am trying to be rude or talk down to people, but instead get my point across rather. At work I sometimes have to work the help desk...good times...well I dont guess that is good times for people that don't know what they are talking about or even how to properly explain their problem. Caller "I can't log into my email", my response "Well is your computer on"

The Dish Network people will be hear to install HDTV Dish TV in two rooms in about 3 hours so I am in a good mood to say the least.

No biggie - my other purpose in the post was to try and prevent the thread from eventually turning into a flame fest with a ban or three. I've seen good members get sucked into the fire when it's been fanned enough.

other forums have sigs, but I think they are irritating.
kinda distracts from what they are posting or saying any kind.
I'm used the the maxpc's forum layout.

If you want sigs, bug the admins with pm's.

If he does that I can see two things happening

1 - He still wont get sigs
2 - He will be banned

Admins don't mind being contacted by PM but they do mind being bugged with PMs.

If you bug the admins with PMs, you will be banned.

The reason we don't have sigs is that I'd rather our mods spend time promoting good conversations, than policing the content and size of people's sigs.
