1. avatar size limit: change to say 25 or 30kb. this would allow for animated gifs and would give people more choice. i have been able to upload an animated avatar to other forums but this forum has a 8kb limit that just wont do. how about it?

2. allow some option or panel to control all topics/subscriptions.

We have animated sigs at the other forum, and frankly it's annoying and distracting.

As long as the avatars are held to those with some history here, and they are within standards of taste, then I guess they could be alright to increase the size *slightly* and make them animated, if desired...

I still prefer non-animated avatars, though.

You can't just use an animated avatar. You have to ask number6 if you can IIRC.

What GC said.

You have to run the GIF by #6 first or'll you'll get the trout.

The limit is low specifically to limit the garishness of animated badges. The thing people should be focusing on here is the content of the posts, not people's avatars/badges.

This is also why we like this forum. There aren't any signatures either. It makes for a very content driven forum. After all, who really gives a shit what everyone is interested in and seeing it in every post is annoying to say the least. Spidermonkey is the only regular member with an animated avatar. The reason his is acceptable is because its very subtle... and he'd complain if we didn't loosen his leash on some things.

You're going to have to elaborate in "control".

well as an example, Wilders Security Forum (based on vbulletin) has a control panel where u can see all the topics u have replied/subscribed to. u can delete the subscriptions and change how to receive notifications (none, immediately, daily, weekly). each topic have a check mark next to it and theres a drop down box for actions u can choose for the selected threads.
