I was wondering, I read the rules section and I see you guys don't have a rule for people posting flamatory language, like people posting racial slurs, anti-semitic language, and the like.
Might I suggest that an addition to the rules be added, so that people posting stuff like this can get banned?

I only put this down so that we don't have another fiasco like last time...just a suggestion.

Thanks.

The forum seems to be based on a compremise of the 1st Amendment.

With the current rules we follow:

Racial Slurs are immediately removed
Certain words such as f-a-g are replaced with nicer language
Anti-Semitic Language is not tolerated either and is also removed

Depending on the history of the offender they're either warned, suspended, or banned.

People posting stuff like this can be banned for being a jerk, an all-encompassing useful rule :)

Perhaps we need examples of being a jerk, but I think people generally know when they are over the line.

Lets see how many of these are filtered.

Wow, that's productive.

Anyway, word filters can't do everything. You can't filter all of the words/phrases in that "dictionary" because many of them require context and can't be controlled with a simple pattern. The word "Jew" for example can be used in both derogatory and non-derogatory ways.

I would hope that it is obvious to people that this stuff is inappropriate. We may not all be adults in the strict sense here, but we can all act like adults.

Thanks guys for letting me know. I'm just trying to look out for the best interests of the board, and I'm not trying to be a stick in the mud, just trying to help.

Thanks for the info.
