Am I missing it, or just can't find it in the new format?
Let's use the Hardware Haven as an example. There's polls that I don't want to follow, but the rest of the thread I've commented on new comments and am done with it. Is there a way to mark the entire section "read" like we use to, or do I have to open them all to instantly close them for them to be "read". I like to be informed of replies or more action in sections, as I pretty much linger in the forums for hours. Marking "all read" helps a bunch as it notifies me that a thread is active and wants attention. Right now, all Hardware Haven topics are dead but the polls. I'd just like to mark it all as "read".
And overall, there's some topics that are active we as individuals just don't want to partake in, so marking the section "read" is a good thing there too. If I have no input, suggestion, or care in the world; I'd rather not have to open the thread to clear it from it showing "new post". ----------------------------------- And on that note, it was a lot more clear what threads had new posts. The new Exclamation icon is a lot smaller than the old paper, so there's less orange to notify of a new post. What use to be obvious of new actions in threads has a user looking really close as to whether the icon is white or orange.
