The BFG card comes overclocked from 350 core to 370mhz.... Not that you couldnt do that yourself, BUT heres the kicker, you have a lifetime warranty on a card thats an edge ahead of all other GT cards for the EXACT price.

Thats why everyone wants one.

Newegg doesn't carry it.

Check chumbo.com and bestbuy.com

Also check pricewatch.com, I found alot listed, not sure about IN stock though. I ordered a PNY GeForce 6800 GT and it shipped 3 days later, will be here saturday.

It's in-stock, but you'll pay through the nose...

Why is this happenning all over the net? I understand supply vs. demand but how far behind are we in terms of supply? How far behind should we be for a $500 to cost nearly $600?! :(

P.S. Order for X800 XT was cancelled due to rationalization :D

From the looks (and the red print) of the site, it was just made available on August 16th. That's not a long time ago, and they're probably just now hitting the docks of the retailers. I don't think they use wormholes for shipping like CDW does :D

They had a waiting list on their site I thought a while back. I'd get used to standing in line for these anyway.

Don't worry about it. Newegg.com only has the BFG 6800 Ultra, not GT OC, and it's going for $525!

and if the new rivatuner has the ability to enable the extra 4 pipes, and the extra 4 pipes work on my card, then ill basically have a gt with a faster core, but slower ram. my core is at 365mhz but my ram will only do 805mhz, but i haved tried increasing the agp voltage yet.

do you know if the extra pipelines are physically in the hardware?

you think the DDR1 (standard) vs DDR3 (GT and Ultra) will be a big difference?
