Greetings all!

Assuming one actually had a choice (a bit of fiction since apparently these are out of stock everywhere), what do folks think would be best? The 680 is faster, I believe, but is the boost worth the extra money over the 670, which I've heard is almost as good?

Thanks!

If I recall, the GTX 670 performs like 10% less at worst case, but costs 20% less.

I think that's an excellent trade off.

if that's the case, yeah, it is!

I got a notification from Newegg this morn that they had a couple of different 670 cards in stock, but they were both out of stock again before I could even try to decide if I wanted them or not... :-/

well not everyone is out of them, if you are desperate I know of a place that has them in stock, but, and it is a big but, they are expensive. most likely why they are still in stock. http://www.atacom.com/program/atacom.cgi?USER_ID=www&cart_id=1812438_24_4_104_3&PAGE_LIST=video_card they have always been expensive, when I lived in Ca. I have made purchases directly from their store without problem.

evga still has 670s in stock on their website, out of everything else.

670. They're now readily stocked and hard to find any variants out of stock.

For you 670 owners, have you noticed the actual PCB is really freaking small and the fan is what makes it 9.5"? Could we please have this without the huge fan soon?

Sure, just tell me where to put the fan.

Though honestly, is 9.5" that bad? I thought longer was better ;)
