Do you need to have an HDCP capable video card to play HD content (either 720p or 1080p) from the Internet (such as YouTube)?
How about playing 1080p content over a VGA graphics connection (same situation: if you're playing it from a website like YouTube)...?? or do you need an HDCP or digital signal to get that type of media from a PC to a TV?
I have a spare P4 laying around (around 2.8 GHz) with about 2GB of RAM I was thinking of using to watch videos from online on my TV, and wanted to know if I needed to get an aftermarket video card -- it currently has the Intel GMA900 graphics integrated with has about 128MB of video memory dedicated to graphics (its got the Intel 915G chipset). Just don't feel like buying another computer or building another computer to do this when I have one that's not being used.
Anyway, from what I can see, the computer does meet the requirements for Flash Player 11. All it need s to do is be able to let me play video from the Internet, like from Hulu Plus, YouTube or SideReel (I want to get rid of my cable TV subscription and just watch movies and shows through the Internet/online).
