Maximum PC

Just built my first PC, and I have everything up and running with no problems EXCEPT my video card is not being recognized. I go to the device manager, and its only showing the Intel integrated graphics. When I try to install the drivers, it says that it "can't find compatible graphics hardware".

My system:
Intel i7 2600k
Asus p8z68-v pro motherboard
evga GTX 570 OC
Corsair AX750
Corsair H60 Liquid cooling
Corsair 650D case
G skill 1333 8gb ram
running windows 7 on an Intel 510, 120gb ssd

Here's what I've done so far:
Went into the bios, it is set to boot with PCIE/PCI graphics.
Tried disabling integrated graphics from device manager, rebooting. No luck there.
Returned the graphics card, got another GTX 570, STILL didnt work.
Assumed it was a broken PCIE slot, returned the motherboard, got another. STILL doesnt work.

Long story short, I've both replaced the motherboard and the video card, and still have the same problem, so clearly I am doing something wrong here... Help!

My initial gut reaction is that you don't have the right drivers.

If you can link a pdf of your BIOS, I'll take a look.

Could also be bad aux pci-e power cables coming off the PSU.

When I try to install drivers, it tells me it cant find the hardware. So I can't even install the drivers..

That could be a byproduct of the card not getting enough power. Do you have a spare PSU, or can you use MOLEX to PCIe cable converters on known functioning rails to make sure the card is properly powered?

It's really the only thing that makes sense. Unless you're one of the unluckiest people alive, and actually received two dead video cards, or two equally defective motherboards, then it has to be a power issue.

The molex idea is a good idea, i gave that a try, and now i'm more confused. So I have been booting into windows just fine using the onboard graphics through the motherboard. I haven't changed anything with that. But now when I plug in the video card to the psu using the molex connectors, it boots but nothing is displayed on the monitor. But this is still going through the mobo... As soon as I unplug the molex gpu power from the psu, it boots just fine.

Does that make sense to you?

Sounds like the card is running now, you're just not catching the signal. Likely cause of something like that would be the BIOS auto-detecting a new video source and auto switching to PEG when you haven't physically plugged the monitor into the video card, or you switched the cable to the card, but didn't manually change the video settings in the BIOS to PEG.
