Hi, I want to get a really good graphics card. I have the GeForce GTS 250 and I want a card that supports DirectX 11. I'd like to get the best card that my system can run while getting full capacity out of the graphics card.
My system specs are:
Operating System: Windows 7
Motherboard: Asus M3N72-D

AMD Athlon 7850 Dual-Core Processor 2.8GHz
Memory: 8GB
Video: GeForce GTS 250
Hard Drive: 500GB
Monitor: HP w2338h Wide LCD Monitor
Screen Resolution: 1920x1080
Power Supply: 750W
I'm just trying to see if I can run any of the following cards
GeForce GTX 580

http://www.nvidia.com/object/product-ge ... 60-us.htmlGeForce GTS 450
http://www.nvidia.com/object/product-ge ... 50-us.htmlI'm pretty sure I can run the GTS 450 but I'm hoping I can do better.
Any input and recommendations are greatly appreciated.
Or what should I look for to know, so I could answer my own question? I've seen requirements for watts and it seems like 750 is enough, I'm sure 8GB of Ram is enough, I just don't know if 2.8GHz Dual-Core Processor is good enough. I asked on Yahoo Answers and a guy told me since the slots on my Motherboard are so old I probably have an old CPU as well so it would bottleneck and be a waste of money to buy a really good card.
Thanks again!
