i am currently running 2 MSI N460GTX Twin Frozr II SOC in sli. i also have a couple GTS 240's from my Alienware. would a GTS 240 for physx help or hinder the preformance?

everything i looked up on google pertained to the GT 240,but the GTS 240 is faster than the GT 240

The general rule for having a dedicated Physx card was at least a 9600 GT up to a 9800. Yours is comparable to a 9800 so you should be fine. Also, you only get Physx acceleration in Physx enabled games. You won't use it anywhere else.
