Hey guys, I currently have the GeForce GTX 470 by eVGA. I was wondering if I should maybe upgrade to the GTX 570 since I could get PNYs card for about $300 brand new. I'm going to be getting Crysis 2, Duke Nukem Forever, and DX3: Human Revolution when they all release, do you think its worth it to upgrade or should I keep what I have now?

Heck no its not worth it. The 570 is only like 10% faster. For $300? No way.

Wow, really?

I figured I might be due for an upgrade soon and the first two things that came to mind were GPU, and possibly the CPU. I'm running an AMD Phenom II 965 Black Edition. I was also possibly considering the X6 Black Edition. Is it worth it to upgrade?

For what use? For gaming, it would likely be slightly worse for most games, as only the very newest games really make use of even four cores, so clock speed is still king. Really the only big performance improvement you could get right at this moment is to upgrade to Sandy Bridge. Your system is plenty up to date. My desktop is still rocking a Q9550 and dual 4870s, and plays just about any game fine.

Yeah, everything I do on this PC is for gaming. I just want to ensure that my rig plays upcoming titles like DX3: Human Revolution with ease.

PS-My specs are listed in my profile if you wanted to look.

Just read that nVidias GTX 590 dual GPU is going to be released soon. I've been looking into it and checking it out. I'm hoping that with the release of this card, AMD will lower their cards (the 6990, and the rest of the 6000 series) and in effect nVidia will have price drops. I really like the GTX 580 as I hear that it kills games, and the 500 series will be a dominant GPU for a while to come. I know I could sell my GPU and get at least $150-$175 for it.
